The Rapier’s tracked mobility and relatively small size make it a perfect support weapon both in defence and offence, delivering heavy firepower wherever larger field artillery cannot go. Quad launchers - also known as 'thudd guns' - are a favoured choice for siege warfare and suppressive fire, able to launch a variety of deadly munitions in arcing blasts.

This multipart resin kit builds one Rapier Carrier, equipped with a quad launcher and accompanied by two Legion Gunners. These Space Marine artillerists are clad in Mark IV armour, with a back-mounted visual scanner to augment their accuracy - one carries a bolt pistol and augury device, while the other is designed to stand on the Rapier's gunner platform, pulling its firing lever. The Rapier itself is a finely-detailed tracked vehicle, with visible mechanisms and a powerful four-barrelled central weapon.
